Our Mission

“Shifa” means “healing” or “cure” in Arabic. Founded in 1996, Al-Shifa Clinic upholds the Islamic principles of serving humanity by providing FREE healthcare to the uninsured and underinsured population of Minnesota. Our volunteers are committed to providing compassionate care in a culturally sensitive environment that welcomes everyone with dignity and respect, irrespective of their race, faith, or financial circumstances.

Our Services

Primary Care Clinic

Free, no‑documentation healthcare for uninsured and underinsured Minnesotans. Open Sundays 10:00 am–1:00 pm with walk‑ins and appointments welcome. We offer preventive care, chronic disease management, minor illness/injury treatment, and basic diagnostics—but not narcotic prescriptions or emergency care.

Psychiatry Clinic

Free mental health clinic for individuals 16+. Offers evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, psychosis, and more. Treatment includes non-narcotic medication management, therapy, crisis counseling, and psychoeducation. Sessions are offered in‑person on Sundays and via Telehealth.
